At 18 I was one of the millions of teenagers in size medium who think they’re fat because they don’t have a freaking thigh gap. I remember being really upset when shopping with my Barbie doll friend on one of those sugar cube islands in Greece. She looked fantastic in the fantasy micro dresses we’d only seen on MTV, and there I was with my gigantic thunder thighs and could never wear a dress like that.
